Luster: Raw samples are dull to earthy but will polish up to a high shine

Cleavage: Perfect in one direction 

Relative Density: 3.6 

Distinguishing Characteristics:  It will bubble when it comes into contact with hydrochloric acid. It is one of the few green minerals.  

Uses: It can be used as a minor ore for copper. Typically it is used in ornamental sculptures, beads and jewelry.
